Goldsborough Bridge Battlefield

On December 17, 1862, 15,000 soldiers clashed as Confederate forces fought to stop Union troops sent to destroy crucial railroad tracks in the Goldsboro area. The battlefield is 3 miles SW of Old Waynesborough Park.
